11th Meeting of UNESCO’s Hydrologic Program

The Chilean Committee for UNESCO International Hydrologic Program, CONAPHI Chile, was host to the 11th IHP Meeting of National Committees and Focal Points held in Santiago between October 26 and 30. “This is a biannual meeting that UNESCO International Hydrologic Program organizes in different countries in the region, giving the different member States the opportunity to play host for an event that gathers decision makers and outstanding professional from the hydric area in Latin America and the Caribbean”, stated CONAPHI Chile Chairman and Ministry of Public Works Water General Director, Carlos Estévez. The event took place at the Senate rooms in Santiago with the presence of President Michelle Bachelet and included, besides the Meeting of National Committees and Focal Points from Latin American and the Caribbean, the 29th CONAPHI Chile Days and the Meeting of UNESCO Programs’ Coordinators. MundoChile was honored to officially provide simultaneous interpretation services for President Bachelet and for all the speakers participating in this unique and important meeting.
