Over a period of three days, women entrepreneurs from different APEC member countries met in Santiago to participate in the seminar «Women SMEs: Conquering International Markets», organized by the Department of Gender of the General Directorate of International Economic Relations (DIRECON) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This seminar was held as part of an APEC project implemented by DIRECON, whose purpose is to promote and encourage woman SMEs participation in foreign trade through the collection and dissemination of successful cases and the exchange of best practices.
The event was attended by the Minister of Women and Gender Equality, Claudia Pascual, the Director of the DIRECON, Paulina Nazal, and representatives of various Chilean and foreign governmental and private institutions with interests in spreading the participation of women in international trade.
