The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a leader in the dissemination of the brand “India”, in association with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) and the Ministry for Trade and Industry (MoCI) of the Indian Government as well as the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL), organized the 8th edition of the India-Latin America and Caribbean Conclave in Santiago, Chile on October 1 and 2, 2018 in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
The host county this year was Chile, one of the first Latin American countries in establishing relations with India. In fact, Chile was recently acclaimed as the most stable and competitive county in Latin America, and Santiago as the second best city in the region in which to do business. Chile is a founding member of the Pacific Alliance together with Colombia, Peru and Mexico and this economic community, as a whole, is the 8th largest economy in the world, whilst India is an observer member.
