Last March 18, Directors’ College Chile, a program jointly organized by UC CCG and Stanford University Rock Center for Corporate Governance was successfully held.
More than fifty participants met at CasaPiedra, among them company directors, CEOs from outstanding companies, and academicians. Carlos Cáceres opened the meeting with an exposition on the board of directors’ chairmen role. He indicated that, due to the different events that happened lately, the corporate governance role has become more important. It is necessary to generate confidence and transparency environments inside the organization.
Among other, subjects such as the new digital world and the strategies necessary to include technology in different business models were dealt with, as well as compliance and value creation, and the board of directors’ responsibility regarding legal and communication matters.
