The first Chilean Soccer Summit Meeting was held with the participation of top leaders and the chairman of Chilean soccer, Sergio Jadue. The meeting was organized by the National Association of Professional Soccer (ANFP), the Soccer Channel, and “Diario Financiero”. Jadue delivered the event closing speech, after the speeches of ANFP Executive Secretary, Óscar Fuentes, the Minister of Sports, Gabriel Ruiz Tagle, and international guests Mike Halligan, Security Director of English clubs Manchester United and Manchester City, and Phillipe Rasmussen, Corporate Finance Manager of UEFA clubs. This important meeting of the sports and financial sectors highlighted the historic sale of television rights, the entertainment quality on domestics soccer fields, the Chilean national team level and its classification for Brazil 2014 World Championship, the advancement in sport structures (stadiums), and the organization of sports events such as 2015 Sub-17 World Championship and the America Cup, among other significant achievements. Important personalities who have promoted this sport in the country participated in the first Soccer Summit Meeting. From the television industry standpoint, CDF Vice-President, Jorge Claro, highlighted the channel resources injection to Chilean soccer, which this year reached 50 million dollars.
