On Thursday, October 24, President Sebastián Piñera opened the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) 32nd annual meeting of the Network of Senior Officials from Government Centers at La Moneda Presidential Palace. The event lasted two days and analyzed the importance of advancements made in public administration transparency and integrity matters. In his speech, the organization General Secretary, Ángel Gurría, highlighted the fact that Europe, mainly Spain, has overcome the economic crisis and entered into a moderate growth period. Based on these words, President Piñera highlighted Chile’s economic growth. The President added that Chile has a growth rate of 5.8%, has practically reached full employment, increasing wages at a pace of more than 3% a year, all of which makes the Chilean people very proud.
