Santiago was the location for the 17th World Congress of the International Confederation for Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery from February 25 to March 1, 2013. The event was held at Espacio Riesco. The Congress was organized by IPRAS and The Chilean Society of Plastic Surgery, with the support of numerous societies and associations related to the sector. This was the largest and more important Congress in IPRAS history, where it was agreed to donate a percentage of the sponsorship funds to ecological activities in the country. On the other hand, this year the participants had the opportunity to present their own scientific researches. This way, IPRAS gathered a large number of plastic surgeons who could, in one place, be informed and debate on their colleagues work all over the world. In this important occasion, MundoChile had the great challenge of providing simultaneous interpretation services during the five days IPRAS 2013 lasted. Twenty-six simultaneous interpreters for English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian worked in parallel in five different conference rooms.
