Prince Philippe of Belgium, Duke of Brabant and heir to the throne, paid an official visit to Chile together with a numerous delegation of entrepreneurs. The Prince was received by President Piñera. This visit highlights the importance Chile and Belgium give to bi-lateral relations and strengthens them in the political and economic areas. This is the first time a Belgian delegation of this level and importance visits our country to promote the exploration of joint enterprises in key areas. Chile is a country with a strong historic presence in Belgium and a growing trade and investment flow. Both countries are service platforms in their corresponding geographic areas and coincide in the political area. Prince Philippe delegation was formed by important entrepreneurs from different industry areas, especially that related to high technology, as well as by representatives from Belgian universities, especially three chancellors from the most prestigious French-speaking universities (Liége University, Free University of Brussels, and Catholic University of Louvain).
