Last April 14th was the official launch of the legendary Dakar at Casapiedra. This is the third time that it has visited South American lands covering areas between Argentina and Chile. Important points include the words from the test director, Etienne Lavigne, who spoke caringly about the situation in Chile after the earthquake, and offered the full support of the Dakar world to the Chileans. Gabriel Ruiz-Tagle, subsecretary of Chiledeportes, mentioned his appreciation for the trust provided by ASO in Chile and at the same time, emphasized support for the challenge of reconstructing the country. In sum, Chile received an important showcase and participated in an elite world test, enjoying a test of what as of now will be coming in a year.
