Gasco Webinar «Opportunities and Challenges for Gas Vehicles in Chile»

This Webinar organized by Gasco addressed the advantages offered by gas vehicles in the process of energy transition.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of the new regulations, which allow for the conversion of private vehicles made official by the Government, and which open up new possibilities and challenges, in addition to the safety mechanisms associated with the conversion.

This webinar was led by Filipa Rio, Sustainable Mobility Director of the World LPG Association; Fernando Ledesma, Transport Business Manager of Gasco; and Rodrigo Benitez, General Manager of RTI.

Filipa Rio began the seminar and referred to various success stories regarding the use of liquefied gas as fuel in countries like Turkey, Spain or South Korea, where the government promotes various incentives and subsidies to achieve, for example, that 95% of cabs run on liquefied gas, as is the case in South Korean cities. He also stressed the importance of generating synergies between the government, the automotive industry and suppliers of liquefied gas, noting that "liquefied gas is the fuel that will lead us to a sustainable future," said the WLPGA representative.
