Strategic Excellence in Mining: South America

Last September 06 and 07, at the Sheraton Santiago Hotel & Convention Center, the first convention focused on addressing innovation and operational excellence in mining from a strategic perspective was held. The challenges faced by the mining industry, as well as the solutions and strategies characteristic of the mining sector and the industries affecting it were examined in detail.

After achieving a significant mining costs reduction, it is time to look at how to do more with less and increase long-term productivity. For this, the convention provided a new perspective to face the industry challenges, taking advantage of the industry wide experience reflected on the quality of the speakers.

Considering that mining companies’ budgets have been reduced, as well as those of equipment suppliers and service providers, this convention showed different strategies to increase profitability and sales opportunities, as well as better opportunities to establish relations with the main players in the industry.
