14th version of the International Convention Expomin 2016

The 14th version of the International Convention Expomin 2016, the largest mining exhibition in Latin America, was held at Espacio Riesco Convention Center, in Santiago de Chile.

Among the main official stands there was that of the Ministry of Mining, Codelco, Sonami, and Cámara Chilena de la Construcción (CChC); among suppliers, large companies such as Finning, Metso, Sandvik, and Liebherr were present.

Expomin Executive Director, Carlos Parada, highlighted the assembly work carried out during the last days and stressed “more than 100,000 persons have worked on it”. On a surface of more than 100 thousand square meters, more than 1,300 exhibitor companies from 37 countries concentrated, as well as representatives of 7,000 brands from all over the world.

Parada also valued the participation of exhibitor countries such as France, Switzerland, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, and Mexico, among other.

Finally, it was highlighted that, parallel to the international exhibition, and intense exhibition agenda had been prepared, which included business rounds and focused on gathering exhibitor companies and supplies executives from mining companies in the region, as well as technical-business lectures and workshops, in all of which MundoChile participated actively with its simultaneous interpreters in different languages.
